ENEMY ATTACKS DISPERSED. The High Commissioner reports:--London, June 21 (3.10 p.m.) To "the south of the Somme, an enemy detachment which attempted ;o enter the lines before Maucourt was dispersed by rifle fire. North-west of Rheims, the Germans, after exploding two mines attacked the trenches of Hill 108. South of Berry an Bac. They were met by a curtain of lire and the attempt completely failed. On both banks of the Meuse, .there has been great artillery action.
