AMUSEMENTS.

HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE. "THE SCHULAMITE." There is something uncommon about the London Film Co's. superb motion picture masterpiece, entitled "Tho Schulamite," to be screened at His Majesty's Theatre to-night. The film opens with the original "Schulamite," who. with her bewitching beauty, ravished the heart of Soiomon, and inspired his "Song of Solomon." There are views of the dazzling splendour of the King's great palace, 'wherein are grouped his slaves and beautiful women. The rapturous charms of the Schulamite cause tragedy for the King because one of his bodyguardr ensnared by her beauty, has dared to speak to her. So to-day, as in the days of Solomon, the modern Schulamite is next presented in the play. The scene is changed, and away in South Africa, a patriarchal old Boer, Simeon Krillef, a man possessed of '20.000 sheep, weds the penniless Deborah. The heartless old man frequently consults his Bible with semi-fanatical earnestness, values his bride, and so his home is loveless. The film throughout is splendid. The supplementary --.films are "The War Gazette.'' "Help, Help" (comedy), and "North Wales" (scenic). New items will be presented by His Majesty's orchestral band.
