Discussing the fund for the relief oi dependents of the sailors lost in the North Sea Battle at a meeting of the Auckland branch of the Farmers; Union, Mr Ross, the chairman, said it was the duty of the Imperial Government to provide for her sailor dependents, and he believed they were doing so. He proposed to cable the Admirably, asking their requirements rf the British Government were not yet making sufficient provision. It was resolved to wire Mr Massey, asking foi information. —P.A. An interesting souvenir of the war lias just been received by the local office of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company. It is in the form of a tablet, and sets out the names of the firm’s employees who have served, or are now serving, at the front. The list, comprising fiftylive names, is composed as follows. From the Melbourne Branch 27 (3 killed in action), Sydney IS (1 killed), Rockhampton 4, Brisbane 3, Long Beach 2 (1 killed), Albury 1. An accompanying “List of Honor” sets forth the names of seven sons of 'directors, twenty-seven sons of employees, and thirty-seven former employees also at the front, of which number ten are killed, wounded, or missing.
