The Gisborne Racing Club's Steeple chase meeting was opened to-day in fine weather, before a good attendance. Results:—

Park Hurdles, of 25050v5., two miles —Marconi 1, Gazette 2, Crispeen 3 Scratched: Spalperion, Master Time. Won by twelve lengths, with half a length between second and third horses. Time, 3.53. Maiden Hack Race, of lOOsovs., foui furlongs.—Pearl Marie 1, Anxious 2., Serbia 3. Scratched: Gasique, Cardorna, Bonitias and Brodie. Won Inhalf a length, with a length between second and third horses. Time, 50 1.5 Flying Handicap, of 150sovs., si>. furlongs.—Lord Ainslie 1, Zeus 2 ; . Waiorewa 3. Scratched: Multifual, Won by a length, with two length;between second and third horses. Time 1.16.

' Hack Handicap.—Otara 1, Goldenlyte 3, Lord Ainslie 3. Won by four lengths, half a length between second and third. Time, 1.30 2-5. Steeplechase.—Braeburn 1, Fagot 2, Lady Bibbera 3. Scratched: Kuropatangi. Won by a length. Time, G. 29.
