The death is announced at Wangamii of Mr John Hamilton, aged 83. Private telegrams received in jfcawera report the death of Mrs Gibson, wile of Mr Raymond Gibson, solicitor, formerly of Hawera, which took place ai St. Albans, Christchurch, yesterday. The deceased, who was Miss May Aris before she married, was well known in Hawera. having been a member of the District High School leaching staff. Among the new Justices of the Peace, whoso names were gazetted last week, appear the following: Messrs F. C. Armstrong (Stratford), W. Boylo (Awakino). A. L. Campbell (Hawera), M. Clark (Ohma), R. Gribbon (Waitara), L. Hi'! iEitham), \V. F. Jenkins (Waitar; "', \V. J. Lees (Matiere), R, G. Surrey (Awatuna), and J. Young (Ouonui).
