! HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE. "THE CRIMINAL." Maurice Costello, one of the pioneers in cinema acting, heads the title role j of the three-heel Yitagraph Broadway feature, "The Criminal." which stars in the new programme at His Majesty's Theatre tonight. "The Criminal" portrays a fascinating story of the idle rich, society criminals, and underworld vipers. Jt points a big moral in no uncertain manner, strikjing straight from the shoulder, so to speak. "The Criminal" is stated to ho more than a drama, more than a photo-play ; something that holds and locks the onlooker with its immense power and strength. Supporting these two big features are several other interesting items. "Topical War I3ud"get" and "The Allies in the East" depict war scenes of some moment. The Edison players enact a sweet drama 'of old Erin entitled "A Sprig of I Shamrock," and diverting comedy will be found in "A Pair of Birds" and "A Country Girl." The orchestral music will, as usual, be a feature of the entertainment.
