RELIEF OF NAVAL DEPENDENTS.

Christchurch, June 8

At a meeting of the Navy League last night, Mr A. Boyle made a strong appeal for help for dependents of the men lost in the Naval battle. The following motion was carried—- “ That this branch of the Navy League should inaugurate a Dominion luud for the relief of dependents of the men of the Royal Navy who are lost in the present war, and that the various branches in New Zealand and others be asked to co-operate. SERBIAN RELIEF FUND.

Of this amount, £435 has been forwarded to the Salvation Army authorities for Serbian Relief A s most of the Serbian people are ill a very destitute condition, further funds would be thankfully received.
