A sensation was caused at Kaiapoi last night by a man, probably a lunatic, calling at bouses late at night and fdemanding admittance. He was hatless, and blood on his hands, and said “They’re after me; give me a pistol.” One house refused him admittance', and he broke the windows, which would probably account tor the blood. The police were notified this morning.
