THE SUDAN OPERATIONS. COMPLETE DEFEAT OF THE ENEMY. Tim High Commissioner reports:— London, May 30 (2 .55 p.m.) The completeness of L ho, victory over the Sultan of Darfur is confirmed by a telegram from the Sirdar. All of the Sultan’s best troops and commanders were present. Most of the latter surrendered 01 were accounted for. Disarmament is proceeding satis factorily. The morning following the battle, onr aeroplanes bombed a large body -.f fleeing men with Ali Dinar. The latter had a following of three hundred, faced by a journey of one and a-half days across a 'waterless desert before they could reach Jeb-el-Marra. | CONFIRMATION AND FURTHER DETAILS. All the Sultan’s best troops and commanders participated, and most of the latter were accounted for or surrendered. Disarmament of the tribesmen is proceeding satisfactorily, several thousand rifles and much ammunition having been surrendered to. Onr aeroplanes the day after the battle bombed a large body fleeing from F (shir with Ali Dinar. The latter when last seen bad only three hundred followers, and was facing a thirtysix hours’ journey over a waterless (desert, going towards Geb el Marra.
