RELIEF OF POLAND. FOOD FOR THE POPULATION. United Press AssooiaT.os, (Received 8.50 a.m.) Copenhagen, May 00. The Danish newspaper Dagens Vyhetor states that the Allies will permit the population of those districts of Poland which are in Austro-Gorman occupation, to receive food from America, the Central Powers guaranteeing that it will only he distributed to the poor, and will not reach the soldiers or ordinary civilians. As the American Relief Committee’s food gift will not arrive before July, Norway is sending four thousand tons of grain, provided America will refund the same quantity.
It is believed that Sweden and Denmark will respond similarly.
