Mr Sid. Bernard, late of Stratford, I has been appointed manager of The living's Picture Theatre, Wellington, which is controlled by the New Zealand Picture Supplies. Colonel J. E. Hume left Auckland j on Friday evening to take up his new , position as officer commanding t he Wellington Military District, with headquarters at Palmerston North. j News has been received of the death, I at Borella Colombo, early last mouth, of Colonel' J. Henry Banks, who was in command of the Auckland vlilitary District for about five years prior to | J his departure for South Africa in 1901. j The Oamaru Mail reports that, during Mr E. P.
