AMUSEMENTS.

HIS MAJESTY’S THEATRE. “TRAPPED BY FLAMES.” Big business was recorded last night at His Majesty’s Theatre when the new series of excellent pictures was received with much pleasure. The eighteen Ci episode of the “Million Dollar Mystery,” which bears the* beading “Trapped by the Flames,’ displays the great cunning of the two chief conspirators, and the film is the latest thing in exciting situations. The fire scene at the conclusion of the film was particularly vivid and realistic. Supporting the main attraction is a splendid Vita graph drama, “Love’s Way.” The comic side is admirably provided by two laughtermakers, the Vita graph “Honeymoon Pact” and the K.B. “Never Again.” “The Gaumont Graphic” presents some very interesting views of topical interest. The programme will lie repeated to-night.

GET-RipK-QUiCK V/ALLINCFORD r l Ills highly amusing play as staged by the Within the Law Company was attended by a fairly large audience at the Town Hull last evening. The principals, Mr Walsh as Wallingford, and Miss Barrington as the stenographer. Fanny Jasper, stood out above the other members of the company in their parts, but on the whole the performance had much to commend it. .It was well staged, and abounds with situations which lend themselves to humor of the good clean kind, and the audience were not slow to recognise merit in the various actors. This funny play centres round the, Carpet Taclf Company, which is a huge swindle, ~lmt; which turns out to be a huge success, and then love finds its way int othe play and all ends happily. The two-night season of the “Within the Law Company” was much appreciated by lovers of drama, and the support accorded the management should he an inducement for them to return at no very distant date with other plays for Stratford theatre-goers.
