A SUSPICIOUS FIRE.
SENSATIONAL EVIDENCE. Per Parm association. Chvlstchurch, May 3. Sensational evidence was given at the inquiry into the lire at,the clothing! warehouse and factory of James Mui-j phy,' -Lichfield Street:/ Max Robin' a Jew, from said that sometime ago Hollander, a partner of Murphy, offered him n big sum to set fire to the warehouse ( as business was declining and stocks getting low. Hollander suggested that Robin'turn the'gas oh and'close the warehouse, and then put a match to the keyhole. Robin refund". A!forwards, when at the Jewish " :'«■ Wei l lihgton,' he heard the lire mentioned, and informed the police of the olfer to him. The case Was brWnghj )»>'. the police, Rolria being brought from Wellington.
