NATIONAL DAIRY SHOW, 1916.

This, the premier dairy show of the Southern' Hemisphere, is scheduled to take place on 20th to 23rd June next, at Ealmerstbn North. At a. time, when

mosjt of our farmers ae in their slackest time it is the common practice- to fit a visit to.the show in with the an- ' nual holiday and lor friends often widely separated to meet with the object : of exchanging greetings and bpinfons, .a„t the same time bringing themsslves up to date with the latest ideas in machinery, implements, etc. Tli? prize I schedule is now living issued for the general sections as distinguished from the butter and cheese division and copies may be had free on application to the secretary at Palmerston North. The Manawatn Poultry Ass .ciat'on's annual slioav is held in conjunction with the main event, tin's year's Nr.rth Island championships being Leghcrns. The N.Z. Leghorn Club's champion; hip specials are to be competed for at this Show. The great attractions for the dairy farmer are. of course the butter and cheese Dominion championships coupled with the annual gatherings of the National Dairy Association, Ltd., at which the past year's -working and the current year's policy are discussed. Machinery will occupy the same important place, Hoot-;, seeds, grain, vegetables,, fruit,,.homo cookery photo- 1 graphy and needlework are all provided for, .and a round of school sports, ring competitions will, as usual, take place. The four days of the National Dairy Show are brimful of education, interest and amusement, and we strongly recommend qui; readers to bear it in mind for the dates mentioned.
