DEATH FROM SHOCK. l/ER PkKKS ASS'IOUTTON. Wellington, April 7. Archibald Thomson, stevedore, of Gannuway and Co., died this afternoon from shock, following on an accidental fail into the harbor. RAILWAY EMPLOYEE KILLED. Christehurcli, April 7. A railway shunter, named James Wells, aged 'SS years, and married, met with a fatal accident this afternoon. While engaged in shunting operations a line of trucks passed over both legs. He was taken to the hospital, where he died to-night. The accident was caused by one ol Ins feet getting caught between the switch and the rails.
GATTLE DROVER KILLED. Christehurcli, April 0. Michaol Cowan, aged 58, a cattle droyer, was rushed by an animal in a mob lie was driving at Riccarton today. His horse was gored and threw Cowan, who fell on ids head and broke his neck.
