INFANTILE PARALYSIS.
.... —«t* —— A DEATH AT TIMARU. Per Press Association. Timaru, April 5. Four cases of infantile paralysis have been reported this month—one from Pleasant Point, one from Roseville. and two from Timaru. One of the latter (a man thirty-eight years of age) died to-day. FATAL CASE AT MOTUEKA. Nelson, April 6. A fatal case of infantile paralysis is reported from Motueka. The victim 'was IV."Carey, a -njusrc teacher, aged between 25 and SO years, THE EPIDEMIC AT CISBORNE. Gisborne, April 7. A fourteen-months old child who was admitted to the isolation hospital a week ago, from Repongaere, died this morning. This is the sixth death since the epidemic broke out. A native girl, 8 years of age, from Muriwai, has been admitted to the faospi* tal, and also another Native boy. 11 years of age, from Tologa Bay. So far seven of the patients have been discharged, the majority having been cured, and some will require massage treatment.
