CAUCASIAN CAMPAIGN. A RUSSIAN SUCCESS. [Dnit«d Prt««« Aiwooiathw ' Petrpgrad, April 6. A communique says: OnHhe coast region of tlie Caucasus the Turks, supported by the fire of the cruiser Breslau, attacked the Russian right bank, but were repulsed with* heavy losses. Simultaneously we attacked the enemy's centre and carried part of the Turkish positions. We dislodged the enemy from a series of mountain positions in the upper Chorokh basin, j which "was powerfully organised.
RIOTS UNDER GERMAN RULE. POPULATION FIGHT FOR FOOD. (Received 9.0 a.m.) Petrograd, April 0. Serious food riots have occurred in a number,of Russian towns occupied by Germans. At Vikomir, a mob plundered the shops without success, and marched to the German headquarters clamoring for food, but they were informed there was no halp for the population. A battle in the street between the mob and patrols resulted in many people being killed and injured.
