MAKE YOUR OWN COUGH MIXTURE.

SAVE ABOUT 10s. (By a Qualified Chemist). How long does an eighteenpenny bottle of cough mixture last? A few doses and the bottle is empty. Then another and still another. to be bought. Runs into money, doesn't it? Especially these war times when economy is necessary and wise. Now, try this recipe for making good cough mixture at home. It gives from ten to twelve shillings' worth for two shillings. Makes a pint—about eight eighteenpenny bottles—of warming, soothing, stimulating cough and cold remedy that is good for all members of the' family. It does not contain any poison or harmful drug of any kind. In a jug mix some sweetening, a large breakfastcupful of warm water, and a bottle Hean's Essence, as simply explained on Hean's Essence label. Place in a big bottle and keep ready for taking whenever required. It is as easy to prepare as a cup of tea. Hean's Essence makes a pint of cough and sore throat mixture, and saves a lot of money. A few drops to a child, or a spoonful to an adult usually gives instant relief. As a remedy for croup, whooping-cough, and other stubborn," obstinate coughs, it stands a real champion. Note.—When requiring Hean's Essence it is well to be sure yon get what you ask for—H-E-A-N-'S- the original and genuine cough mixture essence. Imitations are never satisfactory. Hean's is regularly sold by most chemists and grocers; or sent post free on receipt of 2s from Hoan, Family Chemist, Wauganui. 4
