The Alcantara’s lost included Dundas, a gunner, formerly a policeman at Teddihgton, who rejoined the Navy as a reservist at the outbreak of the war. One day he saw a periscope and fired without_orders and was arrest-, ed, but the submarine was soon afterwards captured.
