H.R.H. THE PRINCE OF WALES. SCENES OF ENTHUSIASM AMONG THE TROOPS. RUBBING SHOULDERS WITH OOMINIONISTS. ‘ Pkhi AMOOIATION.] i (Received 11.15 a.m.) London, March 30. The Daily Telegraph’s Suez correspondent -states that there was a great ; scene of enthusiasm on Saturday, when the Prince of Wales was attending General Murray’s Australian Infantry Brigade and-Artillery. When the parade was over } the men were permitted to fall out, and they rushed and lined the road by which the Prince and Generals rode home. The veterans from Gallipoli cheered to the echo. There were similar demonstrations when the Prince inspected the New Zealander^* The Prince has made many visits to various points in the desert and on the Canal since his arrival, including several visits to the Australians and New Zealanders.- He lives with the Army in the ■simplest manner. With none is he more popular than with the forces of the Dominions, who especially like his unaffected and unceremonious bearing.
