Thirty cases of Clunoso human hair, which were captured at the outbreak of war, while hound for Hamburg, were sold by auction in London recently for prices ranging from 8d to 8s Gd per lb, according to length. The longest lengths of human hair are used for the manufacture of women's hair nets, the next longest are used for switches, curls, and '.'transformations," the next for hair-pads, and the shortest for the manufacture of filters for straining oils.
