PROBABLE GERMAN OFFENSIVE. [United Peeks Absooiation.] Athens, Maxell 27. A semi-official message says the Germans have begun a strong offensive in the Doiran region, the french successfully resisting. The Greek Government is doing its utmost to hasten thS evacuation of civilians from the fighting zone, especially from Ghevgeli, which M. Hi’acomis (Finance Minister) describes as on the eve of an invasion by the Central Powers.
