COMFORTS FOR SOLDIERS. Per Press Association. Wellington, March 29. The Government provides all essentials for sick and wounded New Zealanders at the front or in England, but many additional things for the men have been supplied so far by subscriptions of Patriotic Societies. This additional money is now spent, and the Minister for Defence has now written to the various societies asking if they could between them find £3OOO a month for these extra comforts, which were greatly appreciated by invalids. So far there has been practically no response to the appeal. THE GRIERSON INQUIRY. Wellington, March 29. The Grierson inquiry was continued to-day.
