TARANAKI WAR RELIEF.

A meeting of delegates of the Taranaki Provincial War Relief Association was held this morning in the Patriotic Committee Rooms. There Avere present:—Messrs Wilson (New Plymouth), in "the chair, Fleming. Johns, Dunn, McPhillips, Pemval. Kirkwood, Crump (Eltham, in the absence of Mr Wilkinson), and J. W. McMillan (hon. sec). The incorporation of the Association was the first matter Milder discussion, and a considerable amount of correspondence was read bearing on the subject. . The meeting was satisfied that the necessary steps were being taken, and that the incorporation would be completed at an early date. The Chairman pointed out the necessity of 'definitely settling matters in this connection at the earliest possible date in order that the Association might be able to deal first-hand witn urgent cases of assistance, instead of loading matters on to the local committees.

The election of a member to represent Taranaki on the Advisory Board of the Federation of New Zealand War Relief Societies was discussed, and Mr Wilson was unanimously chosen as Taranaki's represghtative. Mr Wilson thanked members and expressed his willingness to act. It was resolved that a committee should wait upon the Egmont County and Pihama Patriotic Committees and request them to join the Association. In reply to Mr Kirlovood, the meeting promised to give all possible assistance to the Stratford Patriotic function to be held on Faster Monday, members promising to do all in'their power to farther Hie local effort.
