(Received 9.55 a.m.) y jV’T' Sydney, March 22. -’’"Captain Bean, Australian official cables from Cairo undor yesterday’s-date, and gives a flat denial to amazing statements being circulated by the Germans—apparently with the object of influencing Neutrals and Alahommedans—of alleged troubles with the Indian troops in Egypt, including a battle between the Indians and Australians. Captain Bean states that there is the utmost tranquility and loyalty amongst both the Indians and Egyptians, and adds that the campaign against the Arabs practically ended in disastrous results to the Araiis. The Turco-Gerinan expedition against the Canal had proved a costly failure.
