SPORTS AT W H ANCAMOMON A. [from Ol'K OWN C.OII R ESPONDENT. ] • On the 17th inst. a large muster of residents of Whangamnmona, with representatives from all the surrounding districts, were present at the Whangamomona Domain grounds, 1 vhere abundant provision was made 'or their entertainment by oner- ■ retie committee, having Mr A. 1 • Rullell as their able honorary secretary. The residents contributed freely m money and trophies, and all worked larpioniously together to make the .ports and picnic a success. The children' received every attention, and .hose who did not receive a pi me * n the several races were given a sou.enir. Piper Wade journeyed from itratford to wake up the Whangaaomona glen with his martial pijrochs. The following were the pmiipal events : • District Chop—.o.
