The Herald, replying to Sir Ernest Sliacklciuu’s statement when departing on his'mission, “Look ior us beginning March,” says it expects the arrival of the expedition at Hobart any day. The explorer and his companions intended to leave their base on the Weddell Sea coastline late in October of last year, and if till went well, they should iiave completed the crossing at McMurdo Sound about the end of last month. The Aurora, the ship used by Dr. Maw son, was to be waiting for them there and would bring them to New Zealand. '['be enterprise was the most hazardous yet undertaken in the Antarctic regions.
