NEWTON KING'S REPORT. At my Haymarket on Saturday last pigs were penned in larger numbers jthan of late, chiefly stores. There was a fair attendance of buyers. Prices ruling for stores were par with last sale, while weaners were dull of sale. jl quote:—Slips and weaners 7s to 10s, small stores 18s to £1 3s (3d, medium 'do. £ 110 s to £1 Jos, good' do. £2 5s to £3, sows £2 3s to £3 10s, boars ! £1 10s to £2 2s.
TARANAKI WOOL, SKIN, HIDE AND TALLOW SALES NEWTON KING'S REPORT. On Tuesday, March 7th, I held my four-weekly sale of the above produce to a good attendance of buyers. The catalogue comprised: 127 bales and 345 sacks of wool, 1850 sheepskins, 13 casks and 51 tins tallow, 450 hides and 383 calfskins. Competition was keen, hut at prices in sympathy with the drop recorded at Home markets. The bulk' of the oiforing of wool showed seed, and this class of wool does not meet with a ready sale, and growers must he prepared to reduce their reserves. Bright and clean sorts sold well at a id drop, and pieces advanced 2d per lb. Woolly skins declined kl, pelts mid short woolled at recent rates. Tallow declined Is 6d per cwt. Hides were barely up to last sale prices.

Damp" lines.—Best pelts 3s Sd'to fs, light Is 4d io 3s 4d, lambs! 7s (id. Salted pelts,—Best is "to-4s 93, light Is 7d to 3s Od, damaged Is 9d to 2s, lambs' pelts 2s to 3s. Tallow.—ln casks 24s 3d to 255; in tins 18s 6d to"2ls 6d.
