Won by a short neck. Time, Imin 21 sec. Ascot Stakes.—Deneh 1, Wedge 2, Wolaroi 3. Nine started. Won by threo-ouarters of a length. Time } 1 min 151 sec. Australian Cup—Cherubini 1, Wishing Cap 2, Hush Money 3. All started. The winner led almost all the way, and won pulling up by a length. Time, 3min 55sec. Steeplechase.—Artillery Bill 1, Bibbenluke 2, Picheri 3. Twelve started. Won by six lengths. Time, 4min 91 sec. Bourke Handicap.-—-Burrahadeen l> Eurobin 2, Royal Laddie 3. Twentyone started. Won by a neck. Time, Imin 26500. On Friday afternoon at a committee meeting of the Wanganui Jockey dub, it was decided to allocate the nett ’profits of the recent meeting to patriotic purposes. The nett profits wore £1043, and it was decided to divide this amount as follows -To th e y.M.C.A. war fund, £500; to furnishing local Returned Soldiers’ Club, £100; to Salvation Army war fund, £IOO. The balance, £343, was allocated to the British Reel Cross Fund.
