(From Our Own Correspondent). The annual picnic and sports m connection with our school, were held on Thursday last in Mr Hosking's ' paddock, which was kindly lent for the occasion. We were favored with ideal picnic weather, and the attendance must have been a record one, both children and adults being prosent in large numbers, including a .mod many from outside districts. The sports passed off well, though vour correspondent must apologise for not being able to give the names of the winners of the various events. Most of the races were keenly contested, and the close finishes proved that the haodirp.ppers were not.
