Tt is reported that the German Minister at Lisbon lias been instructed to prepare for departure, also to facilitate the exodus of German subjects. Germans are already departing. (It was announced a few days ago that the Portvigne.se Government had seized •% German and Austrian vessels lying in the Tagus since the beginning of the war; also all German vessels at the Azores. The Portuguese Premier, in the Chamber of Deputies, justified the using, of German steamers on the ground of economic necessity. He added that an infernal machine had been found in faheboilers of the Norddeutscher steamer Bulow, which would have blown up the ship the moment it left its moorings. An explosion was averted, but the machinery was ruined Senhor Costa urged the' denunciation of the German-Por-tuguese Treaty, adding: "We are ready for all eventualities.") MACHINERY DAMAGED. London. March 4. The machinery of nineteen German ships was found to be damaged. The sailors state that .Berlin ordered the damage, so as to delay the Portuguese utilising them. Bombay, March 4.
