OHURA SHEEP DOG TRIAL.
The trials under the auspices of the Ohura Club wore held on February 28 and 24, in Bruce’s paddock. The Advocate reported that the weather on both days was brilliant, and remarked that the meeting was the first held without rain since the club started on its useful career. The exceptional weather was also responsible for the
advent of so many of the fair sex on the field. The refreshment tent was run I>v the Club and proved a financial
success. The sheep-guessing weight was won by Mrs Hall ]OO, and Mr Gee 1(47. -the exact weight, being 105 lbs, flio winners returned the prize to
the Club funds. The results were a s follows: Class I—(Open) Heading, Driving and Yarding. First prize Cup. rained at 40 guineas (.must he won three' tinit's in succession or live times at intervals)) and cash £5, second £2 ; third Mr A. W. Barnett’s special prize value £1 Is.
