Tiie first howling match in Okato was played on Thursday, when two rinks from Pihama journeyed to the coastal township. The visitors weie victorious in a game of 21 heads, but in a second match of 11 heads the local team gained the verdict by a narrow margin. The Pihama teams were: Thoraalley, Ncilson, R. Lambic, W. Lambie (s); Campbell, Corkill, Moore, F. Julian (s).
