AMUSEMENTS.
HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE. "MILLION lXmbAls MYSTERY." "The Coaching Party of the Countess" is the title of the sixth episode of the big serial film to be screened again to-night at His Majesty's Theatre. Miss La Badie, barely twenty years old, is dainty, pretty and very lovable; from the day she started in the movies four years ago she lias steadily worked her way to the front. In "The Million Dollar" serial she •interprets the rolo of Florence Gray, j deserted by her millionaire father at J the age of two and reclaimed sixteen J years later in beautiful womanhood, to find herself in the Clutches of the Black Hundred, with Norton, the reporter, her only friend. In addition to the "Mystery" film there is a line picture entitled "Britain's New Army." "The Cotton Industry" is interesting, and the War Gazette is complete with the best. TARANAKI SHOW, 1016. Regarding the approaching Show of the Taranaki Agricultural Society, it may be stated that the Executive is making every effort to ensure the 1916 gathering being equal to those of the past. Although this is war time there is every reason to believe that the efforts of the committee to hold the animal show as usual will be regarded by generous attendance of the public and nominations in large numbers by owners of stock. For those not particularly interested in stock, there is plenty to be seen and enthuse over in the leaping and jumping competitions. Side shows are generally a feature of these outings, and the tent men are sure to muster strongly on this occasion. The weather, always an im- | portant feature, only needs to be fine to make the two days' fixture pleasant to patrons and profitable to the Society. Entries close on Saturday, 19th inst., and the show will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, March Ist and 2nd. Schedules may be obtained from the secretary, Pox L 9, New Plymouth.
