A MISSION TO BELGIUM. London, February 4. Tiie Government has deputed Lord Cur/,on to go on a high special mission to the King of the Belgians. BELGIAN FRONTIERS CLOSED. Amsterdam, February 4. Owing to an extensive movement of troops the Germans have reclosed the Belgian frontiers, and are turning back even their bakers. BIG GERMAN NAVAL OFFENSIVE IN PREPARATION. Rome. February 4. The Aginzia Nazionale states that Germany is making colossal preparations for a naval offensive in the spring, and will soon have a new type of torpedo-proof ships, armed with 16-lin. and perhaps 20in. guns. Being convinced that it is impossible to obtain a decisive land victory, Germany will attempt a great coup at sea, making everything to paralyse the Allies’ approaching offensive.
