Also started: Gazette and Pacific Slope. Won by a length and a half, three lengths separating second and third. Time, 1 rnin 42 3-ssec. Scratched: Pearl Mane. Won by two lengths, half a length between second and third. Time, I min Hsec. RACES AT CHRISTCHURCH. Sockbnrn, February 5. Hornby Welter.—Gold Coin 1, Multum in Parvo 2. Slogan 3. Scratched: Curator. Won by half a length.
