Before leaving for the front, Mr J. H. Bennett, will have to go through an operation on. Tuesday, in the Stratford Hospital, remaining there for some time.
The death occurred at Stratford yesterday of James Worthington, second son of Mr and Mrs H. Wortlnngton, of Puniwhakau, at the age of 17 years. The funeral will take place at the Kopnatania cemetery to-morrow.
Private Uemhocfer (Toko) and Private J, l-'lyim (Te Weia), who were invalided homo and arrived on the Willochra, returned to Stratford by the mail train on Wednesday evening. On arrival at the Stratford station, they were welcomed hom c by the Mavor (Mr J. W. Boon).
