It is doubtful whether a finer example of patriotism and voluntaryj sacrifice can be found than is niani-! f'ested in the following letter published in the Tribune at Hastings to-day (states the Press Association): —"1 enlisted, was accepted and passed by the doctor as absolutely fit, but was notified to-day that my application for the N.C.O's. camp was rejected through being born 18 months too soon, Ileing now deprived of the proud distinction of fighting for my King and Country, ] ask your acceptance of a cheque of £250, which f trust will be of some assistance to the brave boys who are nobly fighting on our behalf."
