Malone was appointed to fill the vacancy. Donations of cash and stock are coming forward very well, and as all canvassers are requested to make aj final effort during the week to secure '■ further support, it is fully expect' ( that the sale will reach an amount worthy of the cause and district. The committee wish it to be clearly understood that the sale will be conducted on strictly business lines, and that buyers and donors can attend with the full knowledge that they will not be expected to further increase their donations by having stock re-auction-ed.
