NEWTON KING’S HAYMARKET REPORT.
At my Haymarket sale on Saturday, 22nd inst., I had a full yarding of pigs, and the quality on the whole was good. Large stores met with keen competition and consequently realised excellent prices, while on the other hand smaller sorts were somewhat lower than usual. J quote as follows: — Weauers (small) 8s to 10s, medium do. 1.2 s to 15s, good Ids to £l, slips £1 Is to 235, stores (small) 2(is to 30s Od, medium do. 32s (id to 355, good do. from 37s to £2, porkers £2 12s. My next sale will he held on Saturday, 29th inst. T. LAMA&ON’S WEEKLY REPORT Last Saturday our usual weekly sale was held, when we had a very good attendance of the public, and a very good entry of poultry. Fruit was in short supply, especially the better varieties, which are hard to obtain this season, but we hope to have sufficient supplies in the course of a few weeks. We quote as follows Hens Is to Is 9cl. roosters Is fid to 2s fid, cockerels Is fid to 2s fid. ducks Is 9d to 2s 3d, plums Is tid to Is fid, peaches 3s fid to 5s fid, pears 3s to Is, apples 2s fid to (is Od. all according to variety and si/.o of case.
