The j quota comprises 146 men of all arms, j and all the sections except the in- j fantry have been tilled. For the infantry 97 men are required, and up) to last night, 77 were available, re-j ducing the deficiency to 20. Ten j days remain for the men required to come forward. A Press Association message from Wellington gives the following percentages of .recruits registered for the past week (the figures f<»' this week ended January 15th, being shown for purposes of comparison) : Week, ended January 22.—Auckland 24.55, Wellington 45.02, Canterbury 19.37, Otago 11.06.
