Results:— Mungaroa Welter, of 20(1 sovs. 7 furlongs.—Heeltap (8.2) 1, Rongoroa 1 8.2) 2, Lady Nolan >,8.5) 3. All started. Won by a head. Time I min 20 sec. January Welter, of 250 sovs, one mile.—Combustion (8.5) 1, Down (8.5) 2, Myuhi (8.10) 3. Eelasco was scratched. Won by half a length. Time, Imin 11 2-ssec. Wellington Stakes, of 750 sovs., five furlongs.—Desert Gold (9.3) 1. Hyttus (7.9) 2, Tino Atua ((5.12) 3. The only other starters, were Battle. FOXTON MEETING
Foxton, January 22
Light rain is falling and the attendance is good for the first day of the Eoxton meeting. The track is in splendid order. Results:—
Hack Hurdles, of 130sovs. one and three-quarter miles.—Captain Mackay (10.6) 1, Tarero (10.0) 2, Cokely (9.5) 3. Wirokino and Cyra were scratched. tVon by half a length. Time, 2.23.
