The sun rises to-day at 4.50 a.m. and sets at 7.10 p.m.; to-morrow at 4.51 a.m. and at 7.9 p.m. * EXPECTED ARRIVALS. Kowhai, from Wellington, to-day. Raravva, from North. Friday. Rarawa, from North, Tuesday. Corinna, from South, next week. The New Zealand Shipping Co.'s [steamer, Paparoa, passed New PJj--1 mouth yesterday afternoon, bound from Oamaru to Waitara. The Paparoa anchored in the Waitara load--1 stead in the evening, and will commence loading produce to-day. The Waipori, 1919 ton s (Captain Martin), a Union S.S. Co.'s collier, arrived at Moturoa at 3.45 p.m. yesterday. She will discbarge about 600 tons of coal, and "ill then proceed to Lyttelton to discharge the balance. She had a smooth passage across. The C. S. Holmes will not finish discharging her load of timber till about the middle of next week. The Kowhai is expected from Lyttelton to-day with general cargo.
