STRATFORD PATRIOTIC FUNDS.

The Associated Auctioneers report on their recent SociaJ and Dance, net proceeds of which go to the Wounded Soldiers’ Fund, as follows;—Sale of tickets—N.Z. Loan and Mercantile £•5,1 f)s 6d; Xewton King £7 2s; F. X. Dunlop £1 12s; A. Stewart (Farmers’ Co-op. Organisation Society) £1 ; Sale of tickets at Jiall £7 os; Mr H. E. Abraham’s donation £2 2s; proceeds song at hall £2 12s.

1 The sum of £sl 19s 7d has been handed over to the secretary of the Wounded Soldiers’ Fund. The auctioneers wish to thank the following for their generous donation of goods for the social:—J. Masters and Son, I?. Richardson, W. McDonald (Co-op. Store). E. A. Alger, J. Pennington (Xgaere), Drake Bros., 1). Uarlord and Co. (Midhirst), I). Graham and J. Mills for decorations, Mr Clemow (for butter), Midhirst Dairy Co., Stratford Dairy Co., and Mr McDonald for cream; local fanners for milk supplied; R. McK. Mori son, for plants; T. I. Lamason, Evans and Tichhon, and Garrett Wilson for furniture; Alt’ Moon for all china, glass, etc.; D. Beaumont for bread; the Egmout Orchestra for music supplied ; Stratford Evening Post lor advertising; IGrubb for piano; Hy. Collins, and the Electrical Supply Co. The Ladies’ Committee also wishes to thank the numerous donors of small goods.
