ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.
TWO AUCKLAND FATALITIES. United Pbesb Association. I Auckland, December 21. A soldier from Eangiotu Camp named William Whelan, aged 38, was. found hanging from a tree in Auckland Domain at 4.30 yesterday. His pulse was still beating when lie was cut down but efforts to restore animation failed. A middle-aged woman named Mrs E. C. Ronaldson was found dead in bed at Pousoiiby from heart failure following cancer. DIED FROM BURNS. Palmerston North, December 21. As the result of a severe burning [accident ten days ago a young unmar- > ried woman named Hilda Grint died in the hospital. She wa§ engaged in cooking at a gas ring when her skirt ignited, and though the flames were quickly extinguished sho suffered severe burns, which eventually resulted fatally.
