The crew took to the boats and were picked up by a British steamer which was bound for Alexandria, but which the same submarine torpedoed later in the day when 250 miles from Alexandria. Both crews took to the boats, and another British steamer picked them up and landed them at Alexandria. Lloyd's report that the British steamer Briscris was sunk, and that t;he! crew landed at Alexandria.
