Foreign diplomatists in Serbia are proceeding to Scutari instead of Monastic The battle on the river Cerna, or Tcherna, between the French and the Bulgarians lasted thirty-six hours, and was exceedingly hot. Some three Bul : garian regiments were repulsed, with most heavy losses, after a fruitless and desperate effort to pierce the French centre. This was an undoubted French success.
