A SUGGESTION.
j [To The Editor Sthateord Post.] | Sir, —With all the patriotism shown in endeavouring to obtain money for the cost of war (which in many cases is robbing Peter to pay Paul, as many shopkeepers are the losers), I would ! like to suggest another way in which men and women could equalize: that is, to form classes wherein both could study ambulance work, and endeavor to understand the working of the mechanism of their bodies on which they are so dependent. How much help we could bo to each other, both at home and afield. Put on one side all artificiality, learn to stand on your own merits and allow your feet to walk in the steps wherein the heroes of the past and present find their recreation.—l am, etc., L. T. WALTON.
