Mr F. C. . Mitchell,, Puniwhakau, loft by the mail train ,this morning to join the airibulance section of Reinforcements at the Falhierston '. North Camp. In order to connect with the train, Mr Mitchell had to leave his home, which is 22 miles away from town, at 2.30 o'clock this morning, and on.account of the inclement weather, he did not reach Stratford until about 8 o'clock. Mr Mitchell is to lj» congratulated, on the patriotic spirit he showed, and it should be a lesson to many young .men who have not already volunteered
