GERMANY'S HUGE LEVY. £1,600,000 EVERY MONTH. RESTRICTIONS ON THE POPULATION. [United Pbess Association.j (Received 8.15 a.m.) Amsterdam, November 14. The German Governor-General has imposed a monthly contribution of £1,600,000 on Belgium for the requirements of the army and the civil administration. Fresh restrictions have been put on the population at Brussels. All must be indoors, and shops and theatres closed at seven o'clock. Persons cannot visit even th 0 immediate neighbourhood without a permit. A similar policy lias been adopted at Courtrai.
